Ela Opas is a visual artist born in Poland, residing in Canada. Over many years, her body of work developed into the fusion of influences of Abstract Expressionism with Romanticism as the continuance and progression in the search for the sublime. In 2013, she earned her degree in Fine Arts Drawing & Painting at OCAD, known as Canada's "University of the Imagination". For her final academic year she studied at The Florence Studies Abroad Program in Florence, Italy with an emphasis on „Studies in Italian Art History”.

 

In her art she explores sacred spaces in modern Italy from the perspective of contemporary man who lost his privileged position in the centre of the universe. Her work was exhibited in Italy, Germany and Canada.
